FC Liverpool are the new leaders in the Premiership following a 0-1 victory at Chelsea on Sunday.
Liverpool’s victory makes an end to a 86-game unbeaten streak at Stamford Bridge, as Arsenal were the last side to beat the Blues at their own ground in February 2004.
Liverpool, despite the absence of star striker Fernando Torres, were the stronger side throughout most of the match and needed only ten minutes to take the lead through Xabi Alonso.
The Spaniard almost got a second after the interval but had a free kick bounce off the right post.
Liverpool now lead with 23 points from nine games, and Chelsea share the second place with Premiership revelations Hull City. Both have 20 points.
