Portugal won’t know what hit them Denmark turned around a 2-1 lead to the home side to take away the victory and three very valuable points.

Nani put the Portuguese in the lead after 42 minutes and for a long time, it seemed like this would be the only goal of the match.

Bendtner levelled for the Danish in the 84th minute though, but a converted penalty kick from Deco two minutes later was expected to have broken the Scandinavian resistance.

But that resistance was anything but broken. Christian Poulsen netted the 2-2 in the 90th minute and Daniel Jensen had enough time left to turn the match around completely, 2-3.

This victory, Denmark’s first ever over Portugal in an official game, takes the side to a shared top spot with Albania and Sweden.
