Race hots up for Colombian starlet

A host of top European sides are showing their interest in Atletico Nacional striker Marlos Moreno Duran, according to A Bola.

The 19-year-old is widely regarded as one of country’s hottest prospects, and he is being heavily linked with a move to Europe in the summer.

FC Porto, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are all believed to be keen on the youngster’s services, and it has now been revealed that Benfica are in the chase as well.

Namely, Atletico Nacional chairman Juan Carlos De La Cuesta has moved to reveal that the Eagles have made several contacts.

“So far there is no transfer, but there is interest. If there is a good offer, we will have to consider it,” De La Cuesta told Radio Caracol. “Benfica have made several approaches, but no formal offer.”

Despite his fragile age, Marlos Moreno has already gained some experience at senior level, making 23 league appearances and scoring 5 goals in the process.

Oddly enough, the talented attacker was even more impressive on international stage, netting 3 times in 6 Copa Libertadores outings.
