The Daily Mirror has learned that Southampton are the latest high-profile club to have joined the chase for Atalanta starlet Franck Kessie.
The 19-year-old has been in scintillating form since returning from a loan spell at Cesena, quickly becoming one of world’s most sought-after footballers.
Kessie has impressed with his all-round play, while also bagging 4 goals in 9 Serie A appearances, and it is only a matter of time before he realises a big club move.
Top Italian sides such as Juventus, Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan have been showing interest for quite some time, while Arsenal, Monaco and Schalke are keen as well.
It has now been revealed that Southampton manager Claude Puel wants to sign Kessie in the January transfer window, which is clearly not going to be an easy task considering the heavy interest in the Ivory Coast international midfielder.
