Race hots up for Mattia Caldara

Sky Sport Italia claims that AS Roma, AC Milan and Juventus could be involved in a three-way battle for Atlanta centre-back Mattia Caldara.

The 22-year-old has been one of star performers for the Orobici this season and everything suggests he will soon been given opportunity to cash in on his latest showings.

Namely, Caldara has done so well that AS Roma, AC Milan and Juventus all hope to secure his services in the January transfer window.

The Giallorossi appear to be leading the chase at the moment and they are readying a bid worth between €10m and €12m.

AS Roma officials are even prepared to allow Caldara to remain with Atalanta until the end of the season, which could help improve the chances of landing their target.

The highly rated centre-back is the latest starlet to have come through the club’s famed youth academy, and he did well to score 3 goals in 9 Serie A matches this term.
