Raheem Sterling prefers Real Madrid switch

Real Madrid have emerged as favourites to sign Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling, according to Bild.

It is no longer a secret that the England hotshot hopes to leave Anfield this summer and even though the Reds are not too keen on seeing him leave, they may have no choice but to sell.

Bayern Munich recently expressed their interest in Sterling, but the Bavarians have since puled out of the race as the player prefers a move to Real Madrid.

Namely, former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is set to take over the reigns at Santiago Bernabeu and signing the England star should be one of his transfer priorities.

Raheem Sterling, 20, is widely regarded as one of the most talented footballers to have come through the youth ranks at Anfield and he has so far made a total of 95 Premier League appearances for the Reds, scoring 18 goals in the process.
