Valencia defender Adil Rami has praised Bayern Munich but is confident of grabbing a surprise win in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Mauricio Pellegrino’s men are still unbeaten on home soil this season and the France international is adamant that his side can maintain that run but accepts that Jupp Heynckes’ side will provide stern competition.

“It’s an important match for the club and the fans, but we are prepared to play a good game,” the 26-year-old told reporters at a press conference.

“I know it’s one of the best teams in the world but do not forget that we are unbeaten at home. Our best weapons are here.”

Valencia claimed a 2-1 win over Espanyol on Saturday thanks to a controversial, late Roberto Soldado penalty but Rami argues that winning is the most important thing.

“When we play well and we lose, it’s bad, but when we play badly and win, at least we get the three points,” he said.
