Rami set for Valencia stay

French newspaper L’Equipe understands that wantaway centre-back Adil Rami has decided to remain at Valencia after all.

The 27-year-old has long been considered one of Europe’s top defenders and he has been linked to quite a few high-profile clubs this summer.

At one point it looked as though Valencia would not be able to keep hold of their prized asset, with the player admitting he could leave, but things appear to have changed.

Having already cashed in on Roberto Soldado and Tino Costa, los Che are under no pressure to sell and it would take a mega money offer for them to even consider letting Rami go.

Meanwhile, the player himself seems to have come to terms with staying at Mestalla and he is prepared to give his best for the team’s cause.

Rami is probably aware that another successful season would help him finally earn a big club move next summer, one year before his contract is due to expire.
