Sergio Ramos took part in training on Tuesday as the Real Madrid captain bids to be fit in time for El Clasico.
Defender Ramos withdrew from Spain’s squad for their friendly against Romania after experiencing discomfort in his back during the draw with Italy last week, prompting fears he could miss Saturday’s trip to Camp Nou.
The 29-year-old’s availability for the clash with Barcelona remains unclear, but he was present for “the first part of Tuesday’s session before continuing to work indoors”, a Madrid statement confirmed.
