Ramos: Officials owe Real Madrid

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos believes officials have ‘harmed’ his side more than once this season.

The Spain international saw a goal wrongly ruled out for offside as his side came from behind to claim a 3-2 win over Valladolid on Saturday.

Although Mesut Oezil later sealed the win, Ramos was far from happy.

“It was a goal and it annoys me that they ruled it offside, even though in the end we got the three points,” the 26-year-old told AS.

“With another result the consequences would be very different. They’ve harmed us in more than one match now. It’s about time they make a mistake in our favour.”

Real sit third in La Liga with 32 points from 15 games and Ramos said any small error could strike a blow against their chances of catching Barcelona, who have an eight-point lead over their rivals.

“The distance between us and the leaders is a big one,” Ramos said.

“Any slip would make things impossible and we wouldn’t like that to be down to the officials.”
