Ramos pledges future to Real

Spanish defender Sergio Ramos has poured cold water on speculations lining him with an exit from Santiago Bernabeu.

Ramos, 26, was believed to be pondering his future after clashing with boss Jose Mourinho, but it appears the matter is now resolved.

The Spain international rubbished the exit talk by expressing his desire to retire at Santiago Bernabeu.

“I have nothing but gratitude to Real Madrid,” Ramos said at the presentation of his autobiography “Sergio Ramos, heart, character and passion”.

“I am very happy and I feel rich. Hopefully, tomorrow I can retire in Madrid.”

Sergio Ramos arrived to Real in a €27 million deal from Sevilla back in 2005 and has since become an integral member of the squad at the Bernabeu.

The highly rated defender went on to make 244 La Liga appearances for los Blancos, scoring 29 goals in the process.

Ramos has won three La Liga titles with Real, while lifting Euro 2008, 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012 trophies with the national team.
