The Mirror reports today that Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is preparing to make a £7 million swoop for Colombian striker Radamel Falcao.
Spurs apparently had officals watching the 22-year old South American star as he scored for his Argentine club River Plate over the weekend and a fee had been discussed during the visit.
Falcao, nicknamed El Tigre, could be the ideal replacement for Robbie Keane and Ramos is poised to pounce whether or not Andrei Arshavin transfer happens before the deadline.
Falcao is described as a lively and skillful attacker is reportedly also interested in coming to the Premier League after winning the title with River Plate. Having been capped a dozen times by his country, Falcao would be eligible for a work permit.
