Rangers 17/10 to beat Aberdeen in Tuesday Scottish Premiership showdown

Competition: Scottish Premiership

Market: Rangers to beat Aberdeen

Odds: 17/10 @ Bet365

With Rangers looking to finish the year on a high and leapfrog into second spot, The Gers will travel to Pittodrie Stadium on Tuesday night.

For Derek McInnes, had Rangers got their first choice earlier this year, McInnes could have been sitting in the opposite dugout on Tuesday night. Electing to stay at Aberdeen, at least for another year, The Dons have enjoyed another successful year and currently look on course for their fourth consecutive second-place finish. However, although the hosts are now unbeaten in their last three Scotish Premiership outings, the Reds do hold a poor recent record against Rangers. Aberdeen have lost their last three against the Blues and have conceded two or more in all of those occasions.

As for Rangers, for the first time in recent memory there appear to be some good spirits around Ibrox. With it announced last week that Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard will be the man in the dugout next season, the Rangers squad will be desperate to catch the eye of the former England captain. Coming off the back of a 1-0 win over Kilmarnock last time out, although Rangers have been toppled by Celtic twice in the past two weeks, Rangers have not lost another match away from home in 2018 and a win on Tuesday will see them jump into second.
