Inter coach Claudio Ranieri is eagerly anticipating Wednesday night’s Coppa Italia quarter-final away against Napoli.
Inter beat their opponents on penalties last year on their way to cup glory, and Ranieri is looking to repeat that performance in 2012.
“It will be a big challenge, a tough match between two teams that are strong. That’s what awaits us tomorrow (Wednesday),” Ranieri told Rai.
“Last year it was 0-0 after full time and then extra time. Then the Nerazzurri won on penalties. Tomorrow will be a really great game and we’ll do everything to advance.”
Inter have yet to beat Napoli on their home turf in regulation time since October 1997.
“Our opponents have their own dimension, both home and away. How do you silence a stadium like the San Paolo?” Ranieri said.
“You can silence it only with a great performance, which is necessary to advance, and that’s what we want to do.”
