hot-transfer-newsReal eyeing Nicolas Otamendi

Spanish giants Real Madrid have joined the chase for Valencia stopper Nicolas Otamendi, Superdeporte can reveal.

Manchester United were believed to be in pole position to recruit the former FC Porto star, but los Blancos look set to try and hijack their bid for the Argentine.

Real Madrid officials aim to further reinforce the back line given that Pepe is nearing the end of his career and they believe Otamendi would be a perfect addition to the squad.

And while Valencia are referring interested sides to his €50 million release clause, los Blancos will attempt to lower the asking price.

Nicolas Otamendi enjoyed a brilliant start to his career at Mestalla, producing some impressive defensive displays, while also bagging 6 goals in 35 La Liga starts.

The 27-year-old, who is currently representing Argentina at the 2015 Copa America, is already regarded one of club’s best signings in recent years.

Man Utd to bid for Fabinho

English giants Manchester United are readying an official proposal for Monaco full-back Fabinho, according to L’Equipe.

The Principality club only recently completed the transfer of the Brazilian defender after he had spent two years on loan at Stade Louis II, but they could now easily stay without their prized asset.

L’Equipe has learned that Manchester United have emerged as favourites to recruit the talented footballer seeing as they are set to offer around €40 million for his services.

The Red Devils are desperate to sign a new right-sided defender this summer and they seem convinced that Fabinho can prove a very good signing.

The 21-year-old, who also played as a holding midfielder at times this season, has made Brazil’s 2015 Copa America squad.

During the two years at Stade Louis II, Fabinho made a total of 52 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring one goal in the process.

PSG interest in Kevin Trapp confirmed

Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt have moved to confirm that Paris Saint-Germain are showing interest in goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.

The highly rated shot-stopper is already regarded one of country’s most promising keepers and chances are he will be leaving his current employers in the summer.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be one of the sides keen on the 24-year-old footballer and Eintracht chairman Heribert Bruchhagen has revealed that the Saints are in talks with Trapp.

“We are aware that there is an offer (for Trapp) and that Paris have spoken with Kevin,” Bruchhagen confessed to Sport 1.

According to Bild, PSG have offered €9 million for the Germany Under-21 star, who recently signed a new deal until June 2019.

However, Trapp has a special clause in his contract allowing him to join a foreign club for a set fee, and the Saints could ultimately trigger said option.
