Spain’s top league returns for yet another massive round of fixtures as every side in the league looks to pick up a vital three points from their game this weekend. With Barcelona building their advantage at the top, every side in the top-half is looking to keep pace with them, and with this in mind, Real Madrid travel to face Celta Vigo on Sunday.

Celta Vigo have been struggling this season and they are in need of a positive run of games that would help them to move away from the relegation zone. After 17 games they have won six, drawn three and lost eight, while they have scored 30 goals and conceded 25 times. This has all helped Celta to pick up 21 points for the season so far, but their form in their last five games, in which they have only won twice, is threatening to force them into a relegation battle for the season to come.

Real Madrid have been fairly good this season but their hopes of winning the league lie in tatters. After 16 games they have 31 points which they have accumulated from nine wins and four draws, while they have scored 30 goals and conceded 14 times. Despite the fact they have played fewer games than every side above them, they remain a massive 14 points short of Barcelona at the top, with the leaders having only played one more game than Real. Their slim hopes of winning the league mean that today is a must win, with any more slipups spelling the end of their challenge. With this in mind, we are backing Real Madrid with odds of 9/20 from Bet365.
