Real Madrid are on the verge of completing the signing of 17 year old River Plate defender Mateo Musacchio.
Marca has confirmed that River chief Hector Grinberg will travel to Spain in order to seal the move during the first days of this week.
“We are going to try to close the operation as soon as possible, but we will also try so the player stays with River on-loan for another year,” said Grinberg.
“Hopefully we can count on him without problems.”
Musacchio made his debut for River Plate as a 16 year old, during the 2006-07 season.
It is believed Musacchio will cost the Spanish giants around €4million.
