Real Madrid eyeing Hazard move

Real Madrid are considering a big money move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, according to the Daily Star.

The twenty-four-year-old was the Blues’ stand-out performer in their title winning 2014/15 campaign, something which was recognised by his contemporaries who named him the Premier League’s Player of the Year.

However, like his side he has struggled to recreate such form this time around and hasn’t scored in any of his twenty-seven appearances.

Real, who this week announced Zinedine Zidane as Rafael Benitez’s replacement as manager could be set to offer somewhere in the region of £100m for the Belgium international, a fee which would far eclipse what they paid for Gareth Bale two-and-a-half years ago.

Should a move materialise, it could pave the way for Bale to make a return to the Premier League, with Manchester United regularly linked with a move to secure his services.

Real Madrid currently sit in third place, four points behind neighbours Atletico Madrid in La Liga and can be backed at 9/2 to win the title.
