Real Madrid keen on El Shaarawy; Dortmund line up Lewandowski replacement

Real Madrid keen on El Shaarawy

Italian newspaper Tuttosport understands that Real Madrid are showing interest in Milan hotshot Stephan El Shaarawy.

Los Blancos boss Jose Mourinho is not entirely satisfied with his options up front and he could decide to add another forward to the squad.

According to Tuttosport, the Portuguese coach has set his sights on Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy.

The Italy international has really excelled this season, scoring 7 goals in 10 Serie A games, in spite of Milan’s dreadful start to the season.

Before the season started, the 20-year-old was valued at around €10 million, but his price has now soared following some impressive showings in the early exchanges.

Another obstacle to his possible switch to Real Madrid is the fact that Milan are reluctant to sell as they plan to build a team around the talented forward.

Stephan El Shaarawy has so far proved he can be relied on despite his fragile age, and he can only get better with time.

Dortmund line up Lewandowski replacement

Borussia Dortmund are closing in on Polish youngster Arkadiusz Milik, German newspaper Bild has revealed.

The Bundesliga champions are aware they will not be able to hold on to star striker Robert Lewandowski for much longer, and are already searching a replacement for the highly-rated forward.

Having had a lot of success with Polish players so far, BVB look set to sign another Poland international to replace Lewandowski.

Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund are stepping up their efforts to sign Gornik Zabrze striker Arkadiusz Milik.

The 18-year-old has already made a splash in Polish Ekstraklasa having scored 6 goals in 9 league matches this season.

He has also made two appearances for the national team and is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in European football.

Milik has almost four years left on his deal with Gornik Zabrze, but Bild believes he would cost between €3m and €4m.

Lucio nears Juventus exit

Juventus defender Lucio could be set for a January exit, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The experienced defender caused a lot of controversy when he joined the Bianconeri on a free transfer in the summer from Inter, but his career in Turin hasn’t had such a good start.

Despite boss Antonio Conte favouring three-man defence, the Brazilian has made just one Serie A appearance this season, which has seen him start considering his future at Juventus Arena.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that the 34-year-old is set to meet with club officials next week to discuss his future at the club.

As things now stand, the Brazilian is close to leaving the club in the January transfer window, and Juventus are unlikely to stand in his way.

Lucio has been heavily linked with a switch to Fenerbahce, with the Turkish giants desperate to sign a quality centre-back in the winter.

Even if the player has entered the closing stage of his career, he still has a couple of good years left in him, provided he switches to a less demanding championship.
