Real Madrid have opened talks to sign Chelsea forward Didier Drogba, according to Daily Mail.
The veteran striker will soon be a free agent as his contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire and he already announced that he would be leaving the Blues at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old has plenty of offers to choose from following some impressive showings this season and Daily Mail claims that even Real Madrid are interested.
Los Blancos boss Jose Mourinho is a keen admirer of the Ivorian and he has reignited his interest in the player after it was revealed he would not be signing a contract extension at Stamford Bridge.
The English newspaper reveals that Real Madrid officials have already met with the player’s representatives to negotiate a two-year contract.
Didier Drogba has proven his worth by scoring some very important goals this season and currently has a record of nine goals in as many major finals.
