Real Madrid rekindle interest in Inigo Martinez

Champions League holders Real Madrid have reportedly reignited their interest in Real Sociedad stopper Inigo Martinez, Sport Mediaset has learned.

Los Blancos are looking to sign a long-term replacement for Pepe, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign.

According to reports, Real Sociedad hotshot Inigo Martinez is back on their radar and Real Madrid officials could soon launch an assault on the 25-year-old defender.

Inigo Martinez is one of the brightest talents to have come through the club’s youth academy, and he even has two Spain caps to his name.

After making 196 league appearances for La Real, Martinez could be interested in a change of scenery, especially if Real Madrid come calling.

It remains to be seen whether Pepe will be signing a new deal at Santiago Bernabeu, but, one way or another, the Real Sociedad hotshot could be moving to Madrid either on January or in the summer.
