Spanish and European champions are ready to launch an assault on talented Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Spanish media outlet Marca claims Los Blancos are prepared to dig deep into their pockets in order to activate the release clause for the 23-year-old shot stopper who has quickly emerged as one of the hottest goalkeeping talents in Spain.
Real Madrid have long been linked with a move for a goalkeeper to replace Keylor Navas. Having failed in multiple attempts on Manchester United No.1 David De Gea, Los Blancos have switched their focus on the Athletic Bilbao starlet.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has hit the headlines with impressive string of performances for the Basque side last season. The talented goalkeeper made the total of 24 La Liga appearances as he pushed Gorka Iraizoz down the pecking order at San Mames.
Real Madrid continue to invest in young players as they build a strong base of top-class footballers that are intended to be the future leaders of the team and Kepa Arrizabalaga fits the bill perfectly.
The goalkeeper looks set to sign a new deal with his club and a reportred release clause in access of €75 million being mentioned by Marca could turn out to be the only stumbling block for Real Madrid however.
