Talk Sport are today reporting that Real Madrid are still interested in signing Maicon from Inter Milan.
The Spanish giants have been linked with a move for the Brazilian for most of the summer and it has seemed as though the deal may have been off as it had not progressed.
Now though, Jose Mourinho may be keen to make a move for the full-back who he had great success with at the Serie A club.
Inter boss Andrea Stamaccioni is happy for the defender to leave for a fee believed to be around £6 million as he looks to bring both the wage bill and average age of the squad down.
The 31-year-old has plenty of experience with six Italian league titles at Inter and a Champions League winner’s medal, so would be a good addition to any squad.
English Premier League side Chelsea are also keen on securing his services as they such for a replacement for Jose Bosingwa who left the club this summer.
The Blues may need to search elsewhere though as it seems the La Liga Champions lead the way and they are confident of doing a deal before the end of the current transfer window.
Maicon is a perfect fit for Mancini blues or Di Matteo blues. but if he goes for Real still its made for each other stuff.
