Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admits he has written a wish-list for players to sign in the January transfer window.
But the former West Ham and Portsmouth boss insists that he will not spend unless it is the players he want.
Redknapp said: “Without a doubt the squad needs strengthening if we’re going to be where people expect us to be.
“I’ve spoken to the chairman and he accepts that. He has to, that’s why he brought me in.
“Hopefully he thinks I know what I’m talking about and I wouldn’t just spend his money for the sake of it.
“I know the players I want. I’ve got a list of players and it’s not like four for one position.
“So, if we can’t get exactly those players, then we might get some loans in to make sure we can get through the season then we’ll look again in the summer.â€Â
