Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp would like to see Ledley King return to the English national team despite injury troubles.
King formed part of the national side for the matches With Slovakia and Ukraine but had to pull out with a knee problem.
Redknapp feels that this should not stop the player from continuing his international career: “I would love to see him at a World Cup and see him play. He is well worth taking.”
“You might need him for a semi-final if someone is injured or suspended. You could not pick a better man,” the manager added.
Redknapp did take a moment to say that King should receive the right care when with the English team: “If you used him right and there is a break between the games, then fine. You have to make sure that you nurse him through.”
