Dutch referee Jack van Hulten has been suspended for two matches after supposed name calling during a friendly earlier this month.

During the match between Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven and VVV Venlo, Van Hulten was heard offending PSV midfielder Ibrahim Affelay, who appeared visibly insulted by the event.

The day after the match, Affelay told the Dutch FA that he would not file an official report, but the FA decided to launch their own investigation nevertheless.

The prosecutor considered that there was sufficient proof to suspend the referee, who in turn appealed against the decision.
