Remy linked with Crystal Palace loan switch

Crystal Palace are close to securing a loan deal for Chelsea striker Loic Remy, according to Sky Sports.

The Eagles are keen to continue strengthening their front line after smashing their transfer record to bring in Christian Benteke last week, and have identified Remy as a target with the France international falling out of favour under new Blues boss Antonio Conte.

The twenty-nine year old has Diego Costa and Michy Batshuyai ahead of him in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and looks likely to seal a move away before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

Remy moved to Chelsea from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2014 and has since racked up forty-seven appearances in all competitions, scoring twelve goals while he was part of the squad that won both the League Cup and Premier League title in 2015.

He has been capped thirty-one times for France, scoring seven goals.
