Gianluca Zambrotta is set to move to Italian under-achievers AC Milan according to his agent. The move will see experienced defender return to Italy after a two-year spell in Spain for Barcelona.
Zambrotta’s agent, Beppe Bonetto, is confident that the Italian defneder will secure a move to AC Milan in the next week, whilst the clubs are still in negotiation over the price.
Bonetto told the Italian press: “Milan is unwilling to pay what the club is demanding, something normal in such negotiations. The player is ready to go to Milan if they finally reach an agreement.”
Rumours suggest that Milan are offering around £4 million for the Italian, whilst Barcelona are holding out for £7 million.
