Reveillere linked with Serie A switch

French defender Anthony Reveillere could be joining Napoli in the coming weeks, reports French daily newspaper L’Equipe.

The experienced full-back has been a free agent since his contract with Lyon expired in June, and there has been surprisingly little interest in his services.

L’Equipe now reports that Serie A giants Napoli are considering a move for the former France international.

Namely, the Azzurri boss Rafael Benitez has a real defensive headache now that both Camilo Zuniga and Giandomenico Mesto have picked up knee injuries and he is reportedly ready to take a gamble with Reveillere.

And with the Frenchman a free agent, Napoli will be able to complete the signing even before the transfer window reopens.

In spite of some selection problems, the Azzurri have been pretty impressive this season and they could make a giant step towards the Champions League knockout stages by defeating Marseille later today. Having said that, home win pays 2/5.
