Franck Ribery believes France are not on top of their game just yet and feels they are still approaching their best football.
The Euro 2000 winners have become increasingly fancied to win the European Championship and are unbeaten in 21 matches.
Bayern Munich star Ribery said he will be doing his utmost to help his side win in Poland and Ukraine.
“We played three good friendly games, but we can still do better. We have some work to do, and will work hard to make sure we’re ready,” Ribery said at a press conference.
“I have a big responsibility because I’m one of the older players. Our unbeaten run gives us a lot of confidence. We will do our utmost to come out victorious.
“The results in our last two big tournaments weren’t good, and we don’t want that to happen again. We will do our utmost to survive the group stages, and we’ll see what happens from there on.”
France will face England, Sweden and Ukraine in Group D. They start the competition with the match against the English on Monday.
