Franck Ribery will not leave his club Bayern Munich for Real Madrid this summer.

The French midfielder says that the signing of Arjen Robben convinced him to stay.

“The arrival of a player of his class is a sign from the club that they’re keen to fight for silverware again. I wanted the club to sign a player like Arjen and I’m happy that the club secured his services,“ Ribery said to TZ.

Various Spanish media reported that Madrid president Florentino Perez was preparing a last bid of € 60 million but after Ribery’s announcement the chairman can spare himself the effort.
