Riyad Mahrez agrees Arsenal transfer

Big news are coming Algeria today with the Algerian newspaper Le Buteur claiming that Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez has agreed a transfer to Arsenal.

The PFA Player of the Year has reportedly turned down a contract worth £100,000 with the Premier League champions in favour of a move to Gunners.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a highly rated winger for months now and Algerian media are now reporting that Arsene Wenger has finally grabbed his man.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri was confident Mahrez would follow the footsteps of Jamie Vardy, who was also a target for Arsenal earlier in the summer as England striker decided to stay with his club and reject an approach from Arsene Wenger.

Riyad Mahrez is contracted to Leicester until 2019 and Arsene Wenger will have to dig deep in his pocket in order to finalise Mahrez’s ransfer to the Emirates.

The 25-year-old Algeria international has racked up 18 goals and 11 assists in 39 appearances for Foxes last season.
