Robben and Dzeko could be trading places

Talk Sport are today reporting that German giants Bayern Munich could be prepared to lose winger Arjen Robben in a bid to bring Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko to the Allianz Arena.

Should this deal go through, Robben would be playing for the newly crowned Premier League Champions next season.

The Dutchman’s future is uncertain and he may feel a move away from the Bundesliga side is what he needs to push his career on. The winger will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing Euro 2012 with Holland.

With an apparent £32 million price tag slammed down by City for their inconsistent striker – this could be the only way that Bayern can afford the Bosnian.

Dzeko’s performances for Roberto Mancini’s side were a real mixed bag last campaign. He was brilliant in places but at times looked far from a player that would get you 20+ goals a season.

With Mancini wanting to bring new faces in to the Ethiad Stadium, he may have to offload some of his squad to make room for new signings.

Both these players may benefit from this deal as neither seems to be too happy at their clubs at the moment It is certainly one to watch in this transfer market.
