Arjen Robben believes he will soon be back to full fitness after scoring in Bayern Munich’s 5-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
The Dutchman scored the hosts’ third goal within two minutes of coming off the bench as the leaders restored their 13-point cushion at the top with victory at the Allianz Arena.
Robben has not started a game since the DFB-Pokal triumph over Augsburg in early December, having suffered a knee injury, but feels he will soon be at 100 per cent.
“I’m happy, not just with my goal but with the entire game. I felt great overall,” he told the Bundesliga website.
“I’m not 100 per cent yet. I haven’t been able to train that much and I wasn’t able to play against Stuttgart (on Wednesday).
“But it’s just a matter of time until I’m fully fit again.”
Robben was also pleased at breaking down a stubborn Frankfurt defence to claim three points.
“Teams come here and sit back but it’s a good challenge for us to try and get past them,” he added.
“It was the same last season.”
