Arjen Robben has warned his Bayern Munich team-mates they cannot afford to give Klaas-Jan Huntelaar space in Saturday’s clash with Schalke.
The striker scored an impressive 29 league goals in 2011/12 and has already netted twice in his side’s opening three games this season.
Robben believes that keeping his compatriot at bay will be crucial if the Bavarians are to take three points in the Bundesliga clash.
“We mustn’t allow Huntelaar any chances,” Robben told the official Bayern website.
Bayern sit second in the Bundesliga table with nine points from three games, and Robben is hopeful they can maintain their perfect record against Schalke.
“It would be great if we could win the next two or three games as well, because we’d be on a really good run,” he said.
