Roma agree deal for El Shaarawy

Sky Sport Italia understands that AS Roma are set to complete the signing of Stephan El Shaarawy from AC Milan.

The Italy international has been left in limbo as Monaco opted against making his transfer permanent, but the Giallorossi decided to swoop and offer him an escape route from Stade Louis II.

According to reports, AS Roma will pay AC Milan €2 million for a six-month loan, whereas they will have the option to make the transfer permanent for another €13 million.

Stephan El Shaarawy was considered one of Serie A’s hottest prospects not so long ago, but his career has taken a turn for the worse of late.

The 23-year-old has largely struggled for form during the loan spell with Monaco, but having earlier performed at a very high level at AC Milan, the talented forward has secured a move to AS Roma, where he will be given an opportunity to get his career back on track.
