Roma and PSG in talks for Lucas Digne

Italian giants AS Roma are trying to agree a permanent deal for French full-back Lucas Digne, according to sporting director Walter Sabatini.

The talented footballer has done really well since joining the Giallorossi on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, and he has made it clear that he has no plans to return to Parc des Princes.

AS Roma officials are also quite happy with his performances and would like him to stay beyond the current season, but they have so far been unable to reach an agreement with his employers.

“Lucas Digne? I would like to keep him, but there is currently no agreement with PSG,” AS Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini confessed to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

With veteran defender Maxwell widely expected to leave, the Saints would probably prefer to get the player back, but considering that he has set his sights on leaving Parc des Princes, they are unlikely to stand in his way, as long as they receive good enough proposal from Stadio Olimpico.
