Out of favour Real Madrid forward Julio Baptista is close to signing a contract with Italian squad AS Roma.
Baptista, who has played for São Paulo, Sevilla, Arsenal and currently for Real Madrid hasn’t quite found the form thought of by the young Brazilian promise.
With the transfer deadline nearing, Roma have expressed interest in Baptista.
Roma coach Spalletti commented that his side are in fact dealing with the player, but there’s nothing concrete.
Spalletti also expressed kind words for Baptista saying that “he is an adaptable player, is fast, has physical strength, technique, and therefore could fit easily into the team”.
