AS Roma are showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Giallorossi boss Rudi Garcia is a big admirer of the player having watched him in action quite a few times during his time at Lille and he is now hoping to lure him to Stadio Olimpico.
Capoue only left Toulouse last summer to join Tottenham Hotspur, but he hasn’t quite managed to leave his mark in English Premier League.
While an ankle injury also halted his progress, the Frenchman has only featured in four league matches this season, and Roma look ready to offer him an escape route from White Hart Lane.
The Giallorossi are hoping their former official Franco Baldini, who is now at Tottenham, will help facilitate the deal.
Roma have slipped from the top of the standings on the back of four straight draws, and they can be backed at 19/20 to return to winning ways against Fiorentina.
