Romanian striker Adrian Mutu may leave Fiorentina to join AS Roma for next season. Roma confirmed that they made an official bid for the player.
The 29 year old Mutu, who joined Fiorentina two years ago, found his way back to the top at ‘la Viola’ and now attracted the interest of the Romans, who have been waiting for a new Scudetto since 2001.
Tactical Manager Pantaleo Corvino of Fiorentina confirmed on Tuesday that the bid was made.
“AS Roma have made an official bid on Adrian Mutu. It’s only normal that we study such a proposal. That’s our duty and also my task. The club wants to keep its best players, but if a player who is almost thirty years old wants to leave, we consider cooperation,” Corvino said.
Rumours have that Roma would be willing to spend around twenty million Euros to sign the forward.
