Roma general manager Franco Baldini says the club would be willing to listen to offers for the transfer of Daniele De Rossi.
Reports over the close season linked Manchester City with an expensive bid for the Italy international.
Midfielder De Rossi subsequently pledged his future to the capital club, but has since struggled to retain his place in the starting line-up, reigniting reports of a possible exit.
“In the summer there was an offer made by Manchester City,” Baldini told Sky Sports. “We listened to that offer and considered it.
“If we were to get another offer we would listen again. But we could easily decline again.”
Baldini went on to give his thoughts on Roma’s derby against Lazio on Sunday and was quick to highlight the importance of the contest.
“It is a game like no other,” he said. “It completely takes over the city and holds an importance like nothing else. It is completely out of the ordinary.”
Roma sit in sixth place in Serie A.
