Roma ready to cash in on Rudiger

Il Corriere dello Sport understands that AS Roma are prepared to sell centre-back Antonio Rudiger in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old is currently recovering from a difficult injury, and even though the Giallorossi value him highly, they could decide to sacrifice the Germany international to fund an assault on Stoke City star Xherdan Shaqiri.

AS Roma chiefs are well aware that both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are hot on the trail of Rudiger and they would consider offers in the region of €28 million.

Namely, that is how much the Blues were ready to offer before the centre-back picked up an injury, and it is no secret that both they and PSG are desperate for defensive reinforcements.

While Antonio Conte plans to shake up his back line in January, the Saints aim to add a fourth stopper to the rotation having stayed without David Luiz in the summer.
