Roma reignite interest in Mathieu Debuchy

The experienced French full-back is out of favour with his Premier League club and could be on his towards leaving Arsenal in January.

Both Galatasaray and AS Roma have been linked with a move for the 31-year-old defender with the latter reportedly ready to reignite interest in the player who has already been linked with a switch to Giallorossi.

Roma boss Luciano Spalletti is faced with a number of injuries to his key players and is believed to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements when transfer window reopens.

Out-of-favour Arsenal man looks like a logical choice according to reports from the Daily Star although the Serie A giants will face a stiff competition for Debuchy’s signature.

The French international was in action with the Gunners U-23 side in the North London derby last week, when he scored a stunning goal, thus reminding Arsene Wenger that he is still available for selection.

Debuchy last played for Arsenal first-team a year ago, while he also had a brief spell at Ligue 1 side Bordeaux last season.
