Roma set to sign Uruguayan starlet

Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Roma have reached an agreement to sign Uruguayan attacker Gonzalo Bueno from Nacional.

According to the same source, the Giallorossi will pay €1.5 million for a season-long loan, while having the option to make the transfer permanent for additional €6 million.

Gonzalo Bueno will team up with his international teammate Nicolas Lopez, who is considered one of the hottest prospects at Stadio Olimpico.

Bueno has impressed Roma scouts at the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey and despite making just five substitute appearances at the competition he has done enough to earn a lucrative move to Italy.

The 20-year-old had started his career at Nacional, and has so far amassed 51 league appearances, scoring 14 goals in the process.

Roma officials have been very active this summer, with the likes of Mehdi Benatia, Kevin Strootman, Douglas Maicon, Tin Jedvaj and Lukasz Skorupski all arriving at the club.
