Roma have secured the services of defender Leandro Castan from Corinthians.
The 25-year-old stopper is expected to replace his recently departed compatriot Juan, who rescinded his contract with the Italian capital side in favour of a move back to Brazil with Internacional.
“A.S. Roma announces it has signed a contract with the outright acquisition of rights of the player Leandro da Silva Castan, against the registration of a fee equivalent to 5 million euros,” a club statement read.
“The player has signed a four-year contract that will expire on June 30, 2016.”
