Brazil great Romario hopes to see outgoing FIFA president Sepp Blatter arrested.
The 49-year-old former striker, a 1994 World Cup winner, has moved into politics and is staunchly anti-corruption.
With FIFA officials arrested earlier this year, Romario wants Blatter to be next.
“FIFA is corrupt and at its heart is a cartel,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Some of them have been arrested and others will follow. I hope and pray every day that Blatter will be one of them.”
UEFA president Michel Platini is bidding to replace Blatter at the helm of FIFA, but Romario also criticised the 60-year-old Frenchman.
Romario described Platini as being “from the same school” as Blatter.
