AS Roma midfielder Gerson will be joining Ligue 1 side Lille in the January transfer window, Canal + has suggested.
The Giallorossi have just completed the signing of French midfielder Clement Grenier from Lyon and they in turn decided to offload the Brazilian footballer.
According to reports, the 19-year-old joins Lille on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy for €18 million.
Gerson arrived at AS Roma from Fluminense as one of South America’s brightest talents, but he was never given a chance to impress at Stadio Olimpico.
The talented footballer featured in mere four Serie A games this season and he now gets an opportunity to take his career back on track, although that will be no easy task given Lille’s performances this season.
Les Dogues did improve their survival hopes with an unexpected triumph over Lyon, and they are now available at 8/11 to see off Lorient as well.
