Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to football headlines today after a relatively quiet period. Apparently, the player is now prepared to demand that the club allow him to move, while Real Madrid are coming in with a final offer for Ronaldo.
The Telegraph believes that Ronaldo will meet with Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill and try to convince the duo to sell him. Manchester United are highly reluctant to listen to any offers for Ronaldo, but according to the Spanish media, the English club have softened their stance.
Real Madrid, meanwhile will come in with a final bid for the player they have been courting all summer. According to News of the World, this last bid will be worth about £60 million. Real Madrid hope that Ronaldo’s transfer request combined with a concrete offer might force United to let Ronaldo go.
