Former Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldo claims he is set to join Manchester City.

The 31-year-old three-time World Footballer of the Year is without a club since leaving AC Milan in the summer and is currently recovering from a serious knee injury he suffered in February.

Ronaldo claims he is ready to link up with fellow Brazilian Robinho at Eastlands.

“I like the project that Manchester City have presented me,” Ronaldo said. “They want to make the club one of the best in the world and I feel that I can help.

“It is the best offer I’ve received and it will be very interesting to play with Robinho. Me and him, together, we can score more than 50 goals.”
