Ronaldo reiterates he is happy at Man Utd

Cristiano Ronaldo has reiterated he is happy at Manchester United, moving again to quash ongoing speculation about an eventual move to Real Madrid.

The Portugal international told club television channel MUTV he was happy and settled in Manchester.

“There's always speculation, not just about me, but about the future of players all around the world,” the 23-year-old said.

“People were speaking about me this summer but that was normal because of what I did during the season.

“What people are saying now is not true.

“Who says that is a liar because I am happy at the club, I want to stay here. I feel at home here. I feel very happy here.”

Ronaldo, who scored 42 goals last season in United's march to the Premiership and Champions League titles, admitted when the summer speculation was at its height that he would like to play in Madrid one day.

But he told MUTV: “I think the people don't forget quickly what you do for the club.”

Ronaldo missed the start of the campaign following ankle surgery and admitted than ahead of his return against Spanish side Villarreal “I felt a little bit of pressure.

“But the fans were very good and this is why I feel the Manchester United supporters are amazing.

“I love the fans because they have been brilliant with me, not just this season but every season. Like I said before, I feel at home in Manchester.”

At the Club World Cup, which United won in Japan last month, United boss Ferguson lashed out at Real Madrid amid fresh rumours of a Ronaldo move to the Bernabeu at the end of the season.”

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon insisted there was “no agreement” between the two clubs on a transfer, as persistently alleged by Spanish media.
